Here is a novelty, the Ylva and Dite Cryptodite dildo! Yes, for us, it’s a novelty, since it’s the first product of the Ylva and Dite brand, a small company that makes products by hand, with a very good quality silicone and based in the Netherlands. For the record, Ylva represents a “wolf woman” and Dite represents “Aphrodite, the goddess of love”. But if we are here today, it is to review the Cryptodite dildo, one of the models available from them!

Lately, in the field of dildos, we have not been idle! Indeed, we have recently reviewed the Irbis dildo from Bad Wolf, the Dick of Destiny from Deep N’ Geek or the The Realm Draken dildo! Only particular models and not so common as that. So we can’t wait to discover this brand but also this model to give you our opinion about it! Ylva & Dite Cryptodite Dildo packaging

First thing to mention, its packaging! Well, I’m not really excited about it! Indeed, the Cryptodite dildo came in a plastic cylinder, a bit like the cylindrical boxes of Vixen like the one for the Mustang dildo for example.

As for Vixen, the boxes hold well over time, with two harder lids that hold on both sides. And the plastic used is much more rigid. At Ylva and Dite, the cylinder is less resistant, thinner and in the end, did not like the transport.

Even to open it, it is not practical. I had to tear the plastic, to extract the dildo, it was easier that way. It’s a pity, because if the box would have been more resistant, it would have been perfect to store the dildo. Otherwise, the box is transparent, with inside, the dildo, but also a small flyer with the logo of Ylva and Dite. Apart from that, it’s also a pity not to find a storage pouch, because the box won’t be able to be used to store the dildo, considering its fragility and the fact that it was already half smashed during the transport.

Ylva & Dite Cryptodite Dildo physical details

It must be said, the Cryptodite dildo from Ylva and Dite has a rather peculiar and singular look. As you can see, it is a curved dildo, with a curved head, for the stimulation of the G and P spots, but especially with a very textured surface, almost geometric in places, with quite present drips. It has a flat but vented base. If we look a little more at the texturing of the dildo, it is really not ordinary.

One could imagine that it is about grooves which looks like a printed circuit almost. We see lines, which meet, marked by an interconnection point. It is really special! One could almost think of a design of an artistic tree, represented only by its branches. In short, it’s really a textured surface that we’re not used to seeing. And Kitty thinks it looks like a constellation of stars, with each dot representing a star.

We can also note, on the lower part of the shaft, just above the suction cup, a logo of the brand, present in a slightly rounded. Concerning its color mix, we can see that there is a distinction between the sky blue and the darker blue, quite natural and nicely done! It is really an atypical dildo, but that makes you want to try it! We can also see that at the level of the glans, this one is not entirely textured, a part remains smooth.

Size of the dildo

As I found the dimensions strangely announced on the manufacturer’s website, I decided to calculate myself the dimensions of the Cryptodite dildo to have something precise. In terms of its total length, it measures 18.5 cm (7.28″) (without counting the curvature). Concerning its insertable length, I counted 13 cm (5.11″) until the end of the textured area of the dildo, but 17 cm (6.69″) if I count until the bottom of the dildo, just before the suction cup.

Then, in terms of its diameter, we have 3.8 cm (1.49″) for the glans and the bottom of the shaft, but up to 4.45 cm (1.75″), at the bottom of the dildo, closest to the suction cup. Moreover, the suction cup measures 7.8 cm (3.07″) in diameter.

Other details

Be careful, if you have difficulties to choose the desired color of a dildo, you will have a crucial choice to make! Indeed, the Cryptodite dildo exists in several colors, mixes and there will be something for everyone! First color for the Cryptodite, the “Peach Red / Apple Green”, then you have the “Sky / Bright Blue”, the “Grey / Light Blue”, the “Sage / Fruit Green” or the “White / Light Blue”. These are only examples, because the list is long! Indeed, there are 46 possible choices! Yes, 46 ! That’s just huge! And it is really a good thing because you can really choose the model that suits you the most!

On our side, we received the “Sky / Bright Blue” version, a mix of a sky blue and a darker blue, which I find quite beautiful. And finally about the Cryptodite dildo, it weighs 239 grams, which is rather light, but not too much either.

Of course, since it is a handmade dildo, we will find silicone for its manufacture! Indeed, Ylva & Dite uses premium and platinum silicone, approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration). It is therefore a quality silicone, not very dusty, flexible, in short, a silicone that we appreciate, without phthalates, nor latex and hypoallergenic.

To tell you a little more about its flexibility, the Cryptodite dildo is still relatively firm. It can bend, quite easily, but its texture is closer to a firm texture than a lower density texture. So it is a firm density flexible dildo. If I had to compare it, it reminds me of the texture of the Fun Factory Tiger dildo.

Ylva & Dite Cryptodite Dildo use

You know as well as we do, using a dildo is still child’s play! Well, more like an adult game. There is nothing complicated to know. However, we have several things to tell you about this dildo!

What can we do with it?

Its main attraction is that it can be used for G-spot and P-spot stimulation. But that does not prevent you from using it as you wish! You can also attach it to a Fuck Machine, like the F-Machine Gigolo Pink with its accessory to place a suction cup dildo. You can use it in several positions with the Bondage Boutique position chair. But you can also put it on a harness to practice pegging and strap-on. In fact, let’s talk about it!

Compatibility with a harness

To tell you a little more about this, as I mentioned, at the largest, just above the suction cup, the diameter is 4.45 cm (1.75″). So you’ll have to take that measurement into account. Among the harnesses we have, it will be compatible with the Joque, the Pete, the Bella, the Sasha, the Tomboi or even the Deuce from SpareParts. On the other hand, with the Lovehoney panty harness, it is a little too small, but no problem with the Magic Strap or the Strap & Bound from Fun Factory.

Which lubricant should I choose to use?

As this is a silicone dildo, in order not to take unnecessary risks, we advise you to use water-based lubricant. Depending on your use, you may not need it. I think for example, the stimulation of the G-spot according to your natural lubrication. However, if it is for anal use, the use of lubricant is still recommended. In any case, for either of these two uses, you should choose a water-based lubricant!

How to clean it?

Here, no need to look for noon to fourteen hours, the simplest cleaning will be to pass it to the tepid water with a little soft soap by taking care to clean it well at the level of the shaft, where the texturization is the most important. Then let it air dry, cleaning it a little with a soft cloth to remove water marks. You can also use a toy cleaner if you prefer to do it that way!

Well, that’s not all, but the general interest of a dildo is to try it! Because looking at it, studying it, it’s good, but it’s not everything! You’ll have to insert it in your buttocks or in your vagina to see what it really offers when you use it! So, with Kitty, we tested this Cryptodite dildo in several scenarios in order to test it for its primary functions, the stimulation of the G-spot and P-spot. But we’re going to tell you more than that! Here is our opinion on the Cryptodite dildo from Ylva and Dite!

The insertion and handling of the dildo

Regarding the handling of the dildo, nothing to complain about, it is both flexible and a little rigid, light, with moreover, a suction cup that works well! This one can be used to take it in the palm of the hand and make it move. This same suction cup works very well when it comes to clinging to a compatible surface, despite the very slight hollow of it. For the insertion, no real concern either, you just have to go a little more slowly at the beginning, to get used to the strong texture of the dildo, but the shape of the glans makes this step easier.

In vaginal penetration

To find out if this Cryptodite dildo was suitable for vaginal penetration, I tested it with Kitty. While I was performing cunnilingus on her, I grabbed the dildo and started to slide it on her lips, then her clitoris, alternating with my tongue. When she was well aroused, I started to insert the dildo deeper, before moving back and forth, slowly, then a little faster.

According to Kitty, the dildo fills out quite well, stimulates the G-spot, but she finds the texturing of the dildo too stiff, too grippy when going back and forth. Each line finds resistance to its passage in the vagina and these lines are not the softest and most pleasant. Unless you use a lot of lubricant to soften them during the back-and-forth, you can say that you feel them, maybe a little too much. It does the job, but Kitty would have preferred a less rough and softer texturing.

Feedback on its anal use

Beware, this is clearly not a dildo for beginners! Not because of its size, which is neither small nor huge, but because of its pronounced texturing of its shaft. Indeed, you could see that there were many drips, quite present, in very particular shapes and which are really felt during the insertion and during the back and forth. Even I, who is used to having fun in this area, with big patterns and a lot of texturing, have to say that this Cryptodite is really too textured. Actually, it’s not even the fact that it’s too textured, it’s that it’s too firm for such a large texturing.

Despite a good dose of lubricant, I find that there is too much friction at the anus. It’s really peculiar, I’m not going to say that it’s irritating, aggressive or anything, but if the density of the dildo was lower, I think that the stimulation would be more interesting. On the other hand, for the prostate stimulation, the shape of the shaft is well made, I can stimulate it by choosing the right angle, but for the back and forth, I’ll have to pass! Maybe you will like it, but for me, it is really too disturbing and too intense.

Ylva & Dite Cryptodite Dildo Final Thoughts

This was our first review of a dildo from the brand Ylva & Dite! It’s always exciting when you test a new brand, because you never know what to expect! In the end, we are a bit disappointed! Visually, it is nice, made entirely of silicone and even quite pretty. On the side of the P/G spots, it knows how to take care of it and stands up by itself, with the help of its suction cup. But we have to say that its texturization is a little too strong, too present, too gripping when going back and forth.

Perhaps if the density of the dildo was a little lower, it could have been more interesting and less brutal during the back and forth, hooking less as it passes and more subtle in its stimulation. If you like strong texturing on a dildo, then the Cryptodite will be a good choice, especially for its price, which remains very decent. For the others, we will present you a second model soon.
