Here is the Lovehoney Jewelled Metal Butt Plug, a small metal plug I selected for my dear and sweet Kitty. Indeed, I wanted to find a small plug for beginners and at the same time, a first plug just for Kitty. It’s now done with this very affordable, nice and modestly sized model. As you probably know, on my side, I prefer bigger butt plugs and I have already reviewed a lot of them. I can’t even count the number of plugs I’ve seen! And yet, it’s not the type of sextoys I reviewed the most on the site! The proof, the last one was the Ooh Je Joue N°4 butt plug in January 2018 (on my French website!)
However, I have reviewed several different models. For example, the connected butt plug Lovense Hush, a very good model. But also the Rimming anal plug from B-Vibe, the Nuo from Je Joue, the B1 Stone from Laid or the Pure Plug 2.0 from Njoy, a marvel! So it was time to come back to the world of plugs to try to find the best anal plug according to your needs. Let’s not waste any more time and let’s start this Lovehoney Jewelled Metal Butt Plug review!
Lovehoney Jewelled Metal Butt Plug packaging
The first thing you can see when this plug arrives is of course the box. I know it’s not the most important thing, but it’s nevertheless what you discover first. Here, it is a rather simple box, cardboard of white and orange color.
There are indications on the slice to use this plug and on the other slice, some details about it. Of course, all in English. On the front is a picture of the Lovehoney Jewelled Metal Butt Plug with a funny little word “Twinkle your little star”!
Once this box is opened, the plug is uncovered and installed in a plastic mould so that it does not move during transport. It’s a pity that this mould is made of plastic, for ecological reasons, but it’s still common in this field.
Otherwise, you don’t have a manual or storage pouch, you’ll have to do without. At the same time, with such a small price, you can’t have everything! For my part, I have a special box with all the plugs inside.
Lovehoney Jewelled Metal Butt Plug physical details
It’s a metallic anal plug, there’s no denying that. We end up with an ogive shaped plug, with a tapered end for easy insertion. You then have a thinner part with the brake at the very end so that your anus doesn’t suck it in afterwards. Then, there is this crystal under the brake, a pink tint, which shines just like the Rianne S silicone plugs or the Rianne S metal plugs.
Now, let’s take a look at the measurements of this plug. Here, I immediately calculated its dimensions to give you precise information. In terms of its total length, it measures 7.1 cm (2.79″) for 6.2 cm insertable (2.44″). This means that the brake has a thickness of 0.9 cm (0.35″). Then, for its diameter, I calculated a maximum of 3.08 cm (1.21″), while the diameter of the brake (or its width) is 3.1 cm (1.22″). So the brake is almost as wide as the maximum diameter of the plug.
Please note that this is the small version, but Lovehoney also offers this plug in medium size if you want to have a little more sensations according to your experience.
The other details of the butt plug
Not much more to tell you about this plug except that it weighs 145 grams. It’s neither too heavy nor too light, a good balance for a metallic anal plug.
Lovehoney Jewelled Metal Butt Plug materials
Of course, a metal plug is made of metal, but what exactly is it? Here, I can only tell you that it is a skin-friendly zinc alloy with no trace of nickel. It contains no phthalates either. However, telling you exactly what this plug contains is unfortunately not my responsibility. You would have to be an expert in this field.
However, as far as crystal is concerned, it is not plastic, but here again, telling you whether it is really crystal is also complicated. What I can tell you is that the whole seems very correct, especially for the price of this plug! Lovehoney still offers quality products, I don’t have any worries about that.
Lovehoney Jewelled Metal Butt Plug use
Now we’ll see what you can do with this Lovehoney Jewelled Metal Butt Plug and how to take advantage of it! Once again, a plug like this is more than simple to use. When there is no motor, vibrating system, connected part or any other high-tech functions, it’s almost child’s play. Here are the little things to know about it!
How to use the plug?
An anal plug is a sextoy that is inserted in the buttocks, that’s its primary purpose. It is not intended to be inserted elsewhere. Just use a little lubricant, insert it gently into your buttocks and enjoy its benefits. The advantage of a metal plug is that you can put it in the fridge or under hot water, so that it changes temperature! It’s a lot of fun and it changes the sensations you feel. You can also use a plug to prepare for a sodomy, but also use it for vaginal penetration, which will give you a tighter penetration and offer you anal stimulation without direct penetration.
Which lubricant to use with?
With a metal sextoy you can use any type of lubricant! If you want to use a water-based lubricant, you can! If you want to use a silicone-based lubricant, you can! Otherwise, you can use a hybrid lubricant, oil-based, etc… For my part, I’m more of a fan of silicone-based lubricants when possible, because I find that silicone allows for better glide and a better duration, but I admit that for a plug, I mostly opt for water-based lubricant.
Indeed, the plug won’t move as much as a dildo or a prostate massager. As you know, my favourite range of lubricants is the one offered by Sliquid. I really like the Sliquid H20, Satin, Buck Angel’s, Organics Sensation, Silk or Sassy. But it’s up to you to choose the one you prefer!
How to clean it?
To clean your plug, you can simply wipe it with warm or hot water. It’s the easiest and least dangerous way to clean your plug. I would tell you to use a toy cleaner, but considering the composition of some cleaners, I’m not sure the metal likes it very much. Also, don’t take an abrasive cloth, it would be the best way to damage it. And don’t drop it, especially on the floor or in the sink, it’s a blow to create a crack in the tile (or break the crystal, or even loosen it).
Lovehoney Jewelled Metal Butt Plug efficiency
It’s finally time to share with you our feedback on the use of this butt plug in action! As I said, it’s Kitty who took advantage of this plug, because as announced, it’s a small beginner’s plug that I find quite appropriate for her. We used it several times and in different cases. Here is our review of the Lovehoney Jewelled Metal Butt Plug!
The right size to start with
Clearly, it’s a good size plug to start with. Indeed, Kitty is not used to using a butt plug and this one was perfect to start with. It’s not too big to intimidate, nor too small not to be overwhelming. The insertion is simple, Kitty didn’t need any lubricant. I licked the plug a little to make insertion easier and there were no problems. The metal slides pretty well, which makes this whole step easier. At the beginning, the plug is rather cold and the insertion becomes easy then warms up later, allowing it to fit the wearer better. When inserted, it’s a cold foreign body, then it becomes a travel companion, warm to please us.
The plug used during vaginal penetration
For this test, I inserted the plug in Kitty’s buttocks, I simply held it so that it would be absorbed by the anus without coming in at once. Once inserted, the brake blocks the plug and it is not unpleasant to use. Kitty was in the doggy-style position. I could only penetrate her pussy afterwards. The plug holds very well in place, presses a little on the anal walls, but less than a big plug. I clearly have room in Kitty’s vagina, I feel the plug’s head very little. You can feel that it’s a plug to start and go slowly.
Kitty clearly liked that plug. It was neither too small nor too big for that. Besides, it must have played afterwards, because a few hours later I was able to fuck Kitty without too much effort. I just had to lick her anus a little bit to insert my penis afterwards, without forcing. Wearing the plug therefore seems to favour the opening of her anus, even a few hours later. It’s the fact of being a little more accustomed to the presence of something in hes buttocks that makes it possible afterwards to practice sodomy.

Lovehoney Jewelled Metal Butt Plug final thoughts
To conclude, here’s a small, affordable, easy to insert and use metal anal plug that’s just right for you! For me, it’s too small, because as you know, I prefer the bigger ones. But for Kitty, it’s really the right size. It’s quick and easy to use, even without lubricant. Its ability to play with temperatures gives it an extra charm. Moreover, its visual aspect will please the majority, with its crystal at the base of the brake. I don’t really have any faults to do with it, it’s a good model that you can buy with your eyes closed.
