Lovehoney Dream Wand Vibrator Review – Wireless version

So why review so many vibrating wands these days? First of all, why not, there is no harm in doing yourself good. But it’s also to bring vibrations back into fashion, which are increasingly being left aside in favor of clitoral stimulators using pulsed waves or air pressure. Of course, you will have to recharge its battery before, but to act as Quick-Start, the box is convenient. Once you open this box, you’ll find a soft plastic pouch, which contains the vibrator and its charging cable. It seems that the instructions on the box are not correct, but I must admit that I did not pay too much attention to them.

I might as well say it from the start, I am not a fan of the design of this wand! This is only my opinion of course, but visually, I don’t find it very sexy. It is especially the realization of the handle with waves on it that I find a little unsightly. All in all, it’s a pretty classical wand, but here, the head and the neck are assembled in one piece, unlike other wands, like the Fairy Future for example or the Tokidoki Unicorn. The neck of the wand is still slightly flexible in order to put pressure on the targeted area.

On the handle, under it, we have a place to insert the charging cable. On the side of the base of the handle, we also have the Lovehoney logo present. Then, on this one, we have two buttons, including a “Power” button which is the closest to the stimulating head and the “+” button which is located just below. Particularity that has its importance, at the bottom of the handle, we have a small plastic insert, with the Lovehoney logo as I announced, but it is actually a kind of mini screen. And another small detail, the handle is presented in a shape that starts with a small width to grow towards the head.

So, how long is this Lovehoney Dream Wand? Well, for starters, in terms of its overall length, this one is 20 cm (7.87″)! Compared to the Lovehoney Mini USB Wand that we reviewed a while ago, this one was 18.41 cm (7,24″) long. So this wand is a bit bigger, but it is also slightly curved. In the end, the two wands are quite similar. Concerning the handle, it is at its lowest, 2.5 cm (0.98″) wide and 4.07 cm (1.60″) at its highest. And finally, the neck is 1.7 cm (0.66″) long, with a stimulating head of 5 cm (1.96″) long for 4.13 cm (1.62″) in diameter. Again, the Dream Wand is a little wider at the head than the Mini Wand USB which has a head of 3.63 cm (1.42″).

Other details

To finish with the visual aspect and the small details of this wireless clitoral wand, we have only one color available, which is black. And for its weight, it is light, but a little heavier than the Mini Wand USB that we have previously reviewed on the website.

There is not really any surprise on this Dream Wand, but a bit anyway! First of all, it is a vibrating wand entirely made of silicone! Of course, it is only a layer, because we have inside, the motor, the battery and ABS plastic. But, apart from the luminous screen which seems to be made of hard and transparent plastic, we have silicone, whether it is for the handle, the buttons or the head. On the other hand, as you can imagine, we can’t remove the head from the stick, it is fixed on it and forms a whole.

Is it difficult to use this clitoral wand? Not really! In fact, it’s pretty simple to use, there are only two buttons to control it and it’s pretty classic in the end. However, we’ll go around to explain a little bit about it.

How to recharge the wand?

Before you use this vibrating wand, you will have to recharge it! This will increase the battery life, just like a smartphone. To do this, you have a USB charging cable with a mini-jack plug that must be connected to the butt of the wand. Then, the other end will plug into a powered USB port or directly into an AC adapter.

As for the charging time, it will take some time! I admit that for this time, I did not pay attention to the time I had to wait before the wand was charged. I will say that I had to wait about 2 hours for a full charge. For the autonomy, it depends on the intensity levels, but we were able to use it for an easy 1 hour already without having to charge it.

How to use the Dream Wand?

As I said, it is quite simple to use it. Of course, you will have to recharge it first, as I just mentioned. Then, on this one, you have two buttons to make use of it. By keeping the “Power” button pressed for a few seconds, the wand will turn on. Then, by pressing the “Power” button again, it will change the current mode. And by pressing the “+” button, you will be able to increase the intensity of the vibrations. Then, finally, by holding down the “Power” button again, the wand will turn off.

Particularity of this stimulator, its small screen! Indeed, the Lovehoney logo at the base of the handle is also a kind of small screen, on which the logo will change color depending on the selected mode. It can go through all the colors of the rainbow! It’s nice, but it’s also gadgety! Let’s say that it is perhaps easier to find a mode by its color than by its vibration sequence.

What vibrating modes are available?

Despite its small size, the Lovehoney Dream Wand has a lot of vibration patterns! We have 7 vibration modes in all, each with 4 levels of intensity! For the first mode, it’s a constant mode, with 4 levels of intensity as stated. Then, we have jerky modes, rollercoster type, of rapid rise and fall, it is not bad. On the other hand, since we have only one button for the intensities, we will not be able to cycle at this level, nor to decrease. It’s a catch-22 as they say. And as indicated, you have a screen on the wand that allows you to see the selected mode according to its color! It is gadget, but practical!

Which lubricant to choose with ?

Here, it already depends on whether you need lubricant or not. On a wand, it is clearly not an obligation, it is just a comfort contribution. Some people prefer a less direct friction between the head of the wand and their clitoris. In this case, you should use a water-based lubricant that is compatible with this silicone stimulator.

How to clean the Dream Wand?

Since it is a waterproof wand, you can put it under water to clean it. However, I would not go as far as using it in water, it is clearly not made for that. Handling and ergonomics

Let’s talk about the grip! With its curved handle, you can easily target the area you want in a rather simple way! The handle has “waves” which, despite a slightly rough design, allow to have a pleasant grip. The neck of the wand allows to put pressure on the clitoris and the buttons are easy to access. Overall, the wand is manageable, rather light and does not present any problem in this area.

The vibrations

Is this Dream Wand powerful? Yes, but not necessarily as powerful as a big competition wand! At the same time, it is not what we ask for. Yes, overall, the vibrations of this wand are quite good. But there is a “but”! Indeed, on the lowest levels of intensity, the vibrations are correct, without being of surface and of a rather discrete sound volume. However, as soon as we go up to the highest intensity levels, we quickly realize that the vibrations go up in the whole handle, which brings ants in the hand by using it. In addition, it becomes much noisier! And if, on top of that, you are in a dark room and the screen starts to light up with different colors, it’s a failure in terms of discretion.

Another point, I don’t find it great that when you cycle on the intensity levels, once you go above the last level, you can’t go back down. This is the advantage and the disadvantage of having only one button for the control of the intensities. But for a wand that’s geared more towards beginners, it offers a very convincing intensity range.

Overall stimulation

Well, it’s not bad at all! Despite 4 levels of intensity per mode, we still have plenty to do! If you like the different alternative modes, you’ll have plenty to do! On the other hand, you have to like the light of the screen and its multiple colors, which remains a gadget, but which will find its public all the same. It’s a pity that you can’t deactivate this screen and remove the colored effect at each mode change and during its use. We could have had a more discreet wand like this. But I must say that this wand is powerful enough to make you cum! Kitty came twice in a row with the Dream Wand, even though she is used to stronger vibrations. This is a wand we recommend for beginners, for a first wireless wand!

In conclusion, we have seen wands of the same size, wireless and more powerful. However, the budget is much higher than for this Dream Wand. On our side, we are not particularly fond of the screen that this wand has. We think it’s a bit of a gimmick, but we also know that others will find this feature very cool! Visually, the wand is not very beautiful, but it does its job, delivering powerful vibrations for a small size, certainly less than others, a little noisy on the highest levels of intensity, but that allows you to get orgasms rather easily, and even during penetration, it is relatively small to fit in this situation.
