It’s a surprise to receive the We-Vibe Tango X! No, it’s not the porn version of the We-Vibe Tango stimulator, but a new model that we weren’t really expecting! Indeed, the Tango must be at least 10 years old now and it is one of the first sextoys that was reviewed on the website. Certainly, in the meantime, there was the Tango II, but it was not really a new version! Here, the Tango X is really an in-depth overhaul of one of the best clitoral stimulators on the market and even to this day! It was really a great success of We-Vibe, which had also released a slightly different model, the We-Vibe Salsa, a model very close to the Tango, this is probably why Salsa did not continue its marketing.

The box is a rectangular shape made of hard cardboard. On the front part, the We-Vibe Tango X can be seen under a background of the same color as the stimulator received. On the back, you can see some information about it. And on the side, notably on one of the slices, a small message explaining that it has been 10 years since the Tango was present and that it is a new version revisited!
Once the two stickers are removed, you can access the interior. We discover the Tango X lying in a cardboard or plastic mold, but it is no longer the transparent plastic we had at the time. Once the mold is lifted, we discover a white and satin storage pouch. You also have a USB magnetic charging cable, then a Quick-Start manual and another safety instruction manual. And finally, a 2ml sample of Pjur lubricant by We-Vibe.

This is, I think, the biggest change on the Tango! Indeed, as you can see on the pictures, the design has been completely revisited! It’s true that between Tango and Tango X, it’s the change that you can see at first glance! The Tango was straight, with the same diameter from beginning to end, whereas here, the diameter changes, it is smaller at the tip and gets bigger little by little to be the widest at the controls.
The beveled head is always present and can be used in two main ways. Another change is that there are three buttons, a “+” button, a “-” button and a wave-shaped button. They are in relief. And you have two magnetic dots to charge it. In short, it’s a small, compact and practical stimulator to take everywhere with you!
The dimensions of Tango X
As far as dimensions are concerned, I have already indicated above. It measures 9.98 (3.92 inches) cm in total length for a width of 2.29 cm (0.90 inch) and a height of 2.43 cm (0.95 inch)! It is really a small stimulator. It is in the same range as the Lovehoney Ignite stimulator we reviewed some time ago.
Other details
Finally, you should know that you have two versions, one that is pink (Cherry Red) and one that is blue (Midnight Blue). On the other hand, there is no information on its weight, but it is a very light stimulator. It’s about the weight of a tube of lipstick to give you an idea. A little heavier because there is a motor, but you get the idea.

Another change, the materials! Indeed, on the first Tango, it was ABS plastic with a very thin layer of silicone on the button. Here, the vibrating part is still made of ABS plastic, hard and shiny, while the second half, the control part, is made of hypoallergenic, soft and silky silicone. This is more pleasant to hold in my opinion!

Rest assured, the We-Vibe Tango X is very easy to use. In fact, I wonder if we can make it simpler for a quality product like this one. Let’s go through the different elements that you need to know to use it properly.
How do I recharge it?
First point, it must be loaded. Indeed, it is not advisable to use a half-loaded sextoy, especially for the first time. It’s like the battery of a smartphone. So you have to use the USB magnetic charging cable by plugging the magnetic part of the Tango X on one side, and on the other side, on a USB port or an AC adapter. Charging time is 90 minutes for a two-hour autonomy! That’s pretty good in terms of ratio.
On the stimulator you have a small LED that will flash when the battery is low. This is a sign that it needs to be recharged. When it is being charged, the LED will flash quickly. Once charging is complete, the LED will remain fixed. If you plug it in and the LED does not light up, you have plugged it in incorrectly. On the first Tango, it was a kind of small half-sphere base with a mains power supply, so here again, it is an improvement over the first model.
What can be done with it?
It’s a small pocket size vibrator and you can do a number of things with it! First of all, its main purpose is to stimulate the clitoris! Let’s face it. Then, we can use it to vibrate other erogenous zones, in particular the nipples of the breasts. Why not also on the brake of the penis. To activate or deactivate it, simply hold the “+” and “-” button for 2 seconds.
What modes are available?
If the Tango had 8 vibration modes, in reality there were 4 constant levels and 4 modes with patterns. Now we have 7 vibration modes and 8 intensity levels! Among the modes present we have Pulse, Wave, Cha Cha, Tease, Tempo, Heartbeat and Vibrate. Vibrate being the constant mode. At the time, we only had Wave, Tease, Pulse and Cha cha! mode. And of course the Vibrate mode with 4 levels of intensity. So this is also where the improvements have been made!
Which lubricant to choose with?
If you need a bit of lubricant, you already have the 2ml lubricant sample present in the box. Otherwise, you will have to choose a water-based lubricant to avoid damaging your We-Vibe Tango X bullet vibrator!
How do I clean the Tango X?
Good news, the We-Vibe Tango X is 100% waterproof to IPX7 standard! This means you can use it in your bath or shower, but also clean it without fear of damaging it. A small turn under warm water with a little mild soap and it will be all clean!

So it is with my dear and tender Kitty that I tested this We-Vibe Tango X! Here is what we think about it!
The handling of the stimulator
Nothing to complain about! I was able to compare Tango and Tango X and the improvement brought by We-Vibe is a good thing! I’m talking about the control part of course! On the one hand, the silicone coating allows you to better hold the clitoral stimulator between thumb and index finger, it grips more than ABS plastic and the fact that it has three buttons allows a better control of the clitoral stimulator.
Indeed, the intensity can be increased and decreased with a single press, where on the first Tango, it was necessary to cycle through the modes to get back to the constant mode at the desired intensity. Being able to keep the “+” button pressed to go directly to the most intense constant mode is also a good point. And you can also switch to a vibrating mode based on a model more easily with the dedicated button! So we think it’s a good improvement from We-Vibe!
Vibration performance
Still as silent as ever, it is a stimulator that will be discreet. At the last level of intensity, you can still hear the stimulator, but it remains low compared to other stimulators, such as the Ignite, a Womanizer Premium or a wand such as the Le Wand Massager or a Doxy Die Cast 3R!
Low frequencies
When it comes to vibrations, the quality of We-Vibe is there! These are low frequency vibrations, you can hear the “purr” of the engine and the fact that they propagate very well! In fact, just leave the We-Vibe Tango X in your hand to realize that it turns on itself at maximum intensity! Power
For its power, we lose nothing compared to the original Tango! I would even say that the engine is a little more qualitative. I compared with the old Tango and I have the impression that the Tango X version is a little more powerful. It could also be due to the condition of the batteries, because the one we had (and even the second one I received in the Tango Pleasure Collection box) is getting old.
Better amplitude
I also noticed that the stem of the We-Vibe Tango X had more amplitude. Indeed, the fact that it is “attached” to the silicone control part seems to allow it to move more sideways than the old one which remained tube-shaped and did not move. Clearly, the We-Vibe Tango X is sending heavy, pudgy, it is a power little monster.
Clitoral use
So it is with Kitty that I tested this Tango X, which is the case every time, you understood it! First impression, it vibrates strongly! I started by using it on her clitoris, on a low intensity level to get her used to it.
