Lovense Hyphy packaging

To begin, let’s talk about the box of the Hyphy! It is a beautiful box, rectangular, made of hardboard, mostly white. On the front, we have the Lovense Hyphy stimulator, with a wave from blue to red under the photo, to remind us of the use of the latter with the application and the possibility of changing modes with a finger and we also have, three different tips, highlighted. On the back, we find details and characteristics of the product.

When we open this box, from the top, we can find the Hyphy stimulator, directly stored in a transparent case, which will allow to store it, but also to recharge it. In this case, we have a small space at the level of the stimulating head, which opens on one side (a small arrow is present) to have access to the three usable tips.

Next to the foam mold, we have a small compartment that contains the magnetic USB charging cable to recharge our stimulator. Then, under the mold, we have a “Quick-Start” type guide and a user manual. Considering the packaging, we can expect a product quite luxurious.

Lovense Hyphy physical details

Don’t be mistaken, this is not a new generation electric toothbrush, nor a kind of thermometer! It is a clitoral stimulator! When you already know the Zumio, its general aspect seems less strange. But for a first encounter with the device, it is true that one can be a little confused. By the way, for Kitty, it is also an electric toothbrush! And I will say even more, it is an connected electric toothbrush and which ends in the shape of zucchini. When you say it like that, it’s a bit strange, but you just have to look at the pictures to understand better why it’s called that!

As you can see, it is a curved stimulator, with a “insertable” handle in the shape of a zucchini (a little), which contains three small ridges on its body, which also serves as a handle. Near the stem, that is, at the top of the handle, we have two recesses for a better grip. It’s a bit like two places for our fingers, like a pen or more precisely, like a soldering iron. On the handle, towards the top, we have 2 slightly bulging buttons, a “+” button and a “-” button. To delimit the handle from the stem, we have a purple silicone circle. And finally, at the back, two magnetic points for charging the internal battery.

Then we have a box, which is used to store the Hyphy, but also to recharge it. It is a white box with a transparent lid, which takes the shape of the stimulator. Inside, we have a mold to place the Lovense Hyphy, but also, a small compartment that can be lifted to access three silicone tips for our vibrating stem. Finally, on this box, on the side, we also have a location with 2 magnetic points to charge the stimulator when stored in its box. Be careful, on the box, the location for the magnetic charging cable shows a direction to be respected.

Size of the stimulator

As you have understood, there are 2 usable parts on this stimulator! One side for clitoral stimulation and another for vaginal stimulation! In all, the Lovense Hyphy measures 21.2 cm (8.34″) in length, with an insertable handle of 11.5 cm (4.52″) in length (the part for vaginal stimulation) and a diameter ranging from 2.58 cm to 3.5 cm (1.01″ to 1.37″) maximum. Then at the level of the clitoral part, the small ball shows a diameter of 0.6 cm (0.23″).

To compare it to the Zumio Caress and Zumio Spiropointe, even if they do not have an insertable handle like the Hyphy, here are some information about their dimensions. For the Caress version and the Spiropointe version, both measure 17.5 cm (6.88″) in total length for a maximum width of 2.6 cm (1.02″). The Hyphy is therefore longer and wider. On the other hand, at the level of the small stimulating ball, it shows 0,5 cm (0.19″) of diameter. The difference between the two models is related to the size of the oscillating rod. On the side of Hyphy, we have a long stem of 5 cm (1.96″), while on the Spiropointe, this stem measures 3,5 cm (1.37″) long and 1,5 cm (0.59″) for the “Caress” version.

Other details

To give you a little more information, you should know that the Lovense Hyphy weighs only 125.4 grams, which makes it a very light stimulator! What do we have in terms of materials that make up the Hyphy stimulator? As is often the case, we have a mixture of silicone (which makes up the handle) which, I remind you, is insertable. How to recharge your Hyphy?

First thing, you will have to think about charging your Hyphy. For this, you have a USB magnetic charging cable. Here, you have two choices, either, you can slide the Lovense Hyphy in its case, to protect it from dust during its charging, but also when you want. Then, clip the charging cable, on the two magnetic points outside the case. But you can also clip it directly onto the stimulator. When charging, you have a red indicator light that remains on during the operation. When the sextoy is fully charged, the light will remain steady. To make sure the battery is fully charged, you can also use the Lovense Remote app to check its status.

It will take about 75 minutes to fully charge it for a continuous use of 310 minutes, which is a little over 5 hours. Well, that’s what Lovense tells us, but it will also depend on the intensity, modes and whether or not you use the connected part. When not in use, it can last up to 120 hours before its battery is completely discharged.

How to use the Hyphy?

Hyphy can be used in different ways actually! First of all, you can use either the clitoral side or the vaginal side. Moreover, you can use it manually (with the 2 buttons present), either at short distance with your smartphone, or at long distance, with an invitation system and remote control. But that’s not all, because you can also use it during your cams to make it react to tips you receive or use it with applications of “Sex Gaming”, indicated on the website of the manufacturer.

Manually, it will be necessary already in a first time, to turn on it. To do this, you must press the “+” button for 3 to 5 seconds, so that it starts to vibrate to indicate that it is ready to be used, especially for the high frequency clitoral part. Then, if you press the “+” button again, you will navigate to the next intensity or mode. For the “-” button, it will be used to switch to the vaginal part by keeping it pressed for 3 seconds. Then, by pressing the “-“, you will go down one mode. Obviously, if you press the “-” button once when you are using the clitoral part, it is the mode of this part that will change to the previous one. And vice versa.

Use of the three tips

With your Hyphy, you also have three tips to choose from! This will allow you to change the sensations according to what you want! The tips are present in the case. You have a first tip with a circular shape, which will be useful to offer you a wider and less precise stimulation (Pin-Point). With the Lovense Remote application

The connection between the stimulator and the application is very simple. You will have to turn on the stimulator, wait for the LED to start flashing and then the pairing can begin. Once the sextoy is linked, you can use it at short or long distance. For the long distance version, you will need an account, while the short distance version does not require one.

Inside the application we have several functions, such as using many vibration patterns, a system of synchronization with music, whether on Spotify, a .MP3 file from your phone or with the microphone of your smartphone. You can also program modes in your stimulator. Indeed, by default, you have few modes available. In the application, a “Program” button will allow you to add predefined modes in the Hyphy. What modes are available?

By default, you have 3 stable levels (with three different intensities) and then 4 patterns. But in reality, you can program up to 10 with the application, to store them in your Hyphy. This opens up endless possibilities, as you have many patterns to download or create. In addition, you have two motors at your disposal, one that handles the oscillating rod for the clitoral part and one in the handle, for the vaginal part.

Which lubricant to choose with ?

In order not to damage your new toy, you will need to use water-based lubricant if you need it. You can use any lubricant you like, as long as it is water-based.

How to clean it?

Announced as IPX7, the Lovense Hyphy is waterproof! You can therefore without fear, clean it with warm water with a little mild soap. But also, use a cleaner for sex toys like Sliquid Shine for example. Then, simply let it dry in the open air.

Now, let’s talk a little more specifically about this electric toothbrush of the future! Given that this is a product offered by Lovense, there is still a good chance that it is good. Handling and ergonomics

Concerning the handling, it is rather simple. We only have two buttons to manage, even if in reality, it is not so obvious. Indeed, as previously mentioned, there are two usable parts. On one side, the stem and on the other, the handle. At the beginning, you may find it a bit strange to have only 2 buttons to control the Hyphy on both sides, it is a bit confusing. Then, once you get used to it, it is quite easy to activate one side or the other. Apart from that, it is easy to use, it is light, the precision of the targeted area is simple, because you just have to aim with the rod, which is very simple, since it is a small ball.

On the ergonomics, the buttons are well placed, the notches close to the stem allow to use it a bit like a pen, a stylus or again, a soldering iron. For the placement of the tips, there too, it is perfect. I was a little afraid that they would not stay in place in the action, but it’s nothing!

Clitoral stimulation and more with the three tips

To test the Hyphy stimulator, I tested the three tips on Kitty, but also a tip on the brake of my penis. Of the three tips, Kitty prefers the small ball tip and the U-shaped tip to the small tongue tip. All three tips are interesting and different, but compared to her preferences, the little tongue is still less interesting. At the beginning, I used the small ball to stimulate Kitty’s clitoris, but also to slide the ball between her lips. The tip softens the stimulation, because the rod directly on the clitoris is a little too intense.

Kitty manages to do this, but it is true that it is more comfortable to use a tip. You can very easily target a specific area wonderfully and the vibrations are still of good quality. Here they are more precise and not too surface. It is clearly Pin-Point stimulation, to stimulate precisely a small area. But it was with the U-shaped tip that Kitty really started to get wet. When I used this tip, I had fun sliding it around her labia and around her clitoris on both sides.

As I used it like this, up and down, Kitty started to wet herself, quite a lot of it. Then I took the little ball-shaped tip and went back to stimulating her between the lips, and I could see and hear Kitty’s wetness start to vibrate and flow even more! She came quite easily, when I targeted her clitoris at the very end, and she couldn’t get out of it.

On the side of the little tongue, it’s nice, but the stimulation is lighter and more diffuse, less precise, it’s fun, but it’s not at the same level as the stimulation of the other two tips. By the way, I told you about the fact that I also used the U-shaped tip on the brake of my penis and I can tell you that it works very well, the brake comes to wedge itself in the hollow of the tip and we can cum quite quickly this way.

The insertable part

Then, we tested the insertable part. Here, we find ourselves with a shape that adapts to the G-spot and which takes a little the shape of the Lush 3. The vibrations are rather deep and are diffused well. For Kitty, the fact of having two parts to use is very practical. You can have the possibility to stick the handle in your pussy, once you’re done playing with your clitoris, which is quite a good thing. I was a bit skeptical about this Hyphy stimulator, but in the end, it’s a very good product! At the same time, with Lovense at the helm, we have quite a few chances to go wrong. Of course, the Hyphy is special, with its precise and powerful “Pin-Point” stimulation, which will not necessarily please all people. But, it is true that in this area, Lovense has surpassed Zumio, bringing the connected part, tips and an insertable handle for your G-spot! And this stimulator also works on the brake of the penis for example, we can say that it is versatile! In short, we can say that the Hyphy finds its place in the best clitoral stimulators reviewed on the website! And it also joins the Top sextoy of this year! For us, it is a success!
